San Francisco has always occupied a particular place in my imagination as a performer. This is the city that invented the future, repeatedly, and sent it out into the world. Performing for Bay Area audiences means performing for people who are genuinely comfortable with the idea that the impossible might become ordinary — and who are consequently very difficult to actually astonish. I love this challenge. When something lands in San Francisco, when a room full of engineers and founders and skeptics genuinely cannot explain what just happened, it’s one of the most satisfying reactions in the world.
My fascination with magic began in childhood, inspired by powerful, independent women on screen who commanded the extraordinary. That image of effortless authority set a standard I’ve spent my career working toward. At 18, I took my first professional step into performance as a princess entertainer at children’s parties. That experience taught me the foundational lesson of this work: it doesn’t matter how technically perfect a trick is if it doesn’t connect. The audience is the show. That principle is never more relevant than in San Francisco, where a sophisticated crowd will see right through anything that doesn’t have genuine substance behind it.
As a female magician, I have built my career in a field that hasn’t always been welcoming to women. The Bay Area, at least, has consistently demonstrated that it cares more about what you can actually do than about who you are while doing it. That meritocratic spirit suits me perfectly.
