My fascination with magic began in childhood, inspired by the images of strong, independent women on screen who could command the extraordinary. It was a childhood dream that set me on this path. At 18, I took my first step into the world of performance as a princess entertainer at children’s parties. That experience taught me an invaluable lesson: the heart of magic isn’t the illusion itself, but the art of captivating an audience and weaving a story that transports them. From the very beginning, my goal was to create an experience, not just perform a trick.
Being a female magician hasn’t always been easy. The magic industry can be unwelcoming to women, and I’ve faced underestimation and bias. I’ve been told my achievements were due to my gender, not my talent. But these challenges only steeled my resolve. Magic, for me, is about inspiring people, bringing them joy, and recreating that sense of wonder I felt as a child. Every performance I give—from close-up magic at a Russian Hill dinner party to a stage show at a Mission District corporate event—is crafted to be memorable, joyful, and awe-inspiring.
